Chelsea defeated Manchester City 2-1 on Wednesday night to maintain our seven point gap at the top of the table.

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta admits it wasn’t a vintage Chelsea performance but insists results rather than performances are what counts at this stage of the season.

“Maybe it wasn’t our best game but what matters now are the points,” Azpilicueta said.

“Against Palace, we played better than in a lot of games that we won this season but we lost.

“So it’s just important to get the points no matter how you play.”
