This week has indeed been a good one for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The Spaniard announced the birth of his baby on Wednesday, but his new-born son Leonardo Fabregas Semaan was actually born about 24 hours before the win against Manchester City.

Fabregas was with his partner Daniella Semaan as she put to bed their third child, and he still showed character to play against City for 81 minutes.
After an emotional Tuesday, Fabregas gave his all for Chelsea 24 hours later and he revealed his joy after the game with the result going Chelsea’s way. He also chose not to announce the delivery of his son until today.
“It was a massive game and thankfully we won,” Fabregas told Chelsea TV afterwards.
“The result (against Crystal Palace) on Saturday put a lot of pressure on us. We know we still have a good advantage, but this is the Premier League and you don’t want to be giving points away, especially at home.
“We have character. We can bounce back at anything that comes in front of us. It wasn’t the most pretty game from us, but it was a very consistent performance.
“We knew what we were doing, we had a game plan and I think it worked perfectly.”
