Chelsea lost a crucial game to Manchester United on Sunday evening at Old Trafford which reduced the gap at the top of the table to 4 points, and Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic believes it was due to United’s aggression to win the second balls.
Begovic was in goal for the first time in the Premier League this season, and conceded two goals in the process, but has put it down to Manchester United’s desire and aggression.
“From the first minute United were more aggressive and wanted the second ball a little bit more than us,” the keeper said. “They got off to a great start and it was catch-up from there.
“We needed to be better going forward. We have a lot of matchwinners and good players in the team, but we never got going. It was a difficult day.”
