Crystal Palace shocked Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after the Eagles beat the Blues 2-1 to cut our lead at the top to seven points.
Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke, who scored against Chelsea on Saturday, revealed Crystal Palace defeated Chelsea because Crystal Palace players worked for each other and put in the dirty work.
“You can see the confidence of the team is high at the moment and we are managing to transfer that into our game on the pitch,” Benteke told Crystal Palace’s website.
“We work hard for each other and with this win making it four in a row we can be happy but we have to keep going because there is still a long way to go.
“As a striker as soon as you score you have more confidence in what you are doing and I was happy to get the goal and along with the team mates to get the three points in this game.
“We can be proud of ourselves, the work we did today was unbelievable and we may have had some luck along the way but we deserved to win the game.”
He added: “It is a massive win for all of us and throughout from Wayne to me we all put in the dirty work that you have to do and got the victory.
“We have to keep going because we have two more games coming up over the next week but the team are really confident and we need to show that and keep this run going.”
