It’s no doubt that Chelsea will need reinforcements during the summer, and the midfield position is an area Chelsea will most likely strengthen.
However, a report by The Sun claims Chelsea have made a bid of £17 million for the most unlikeliest of targets – Juventus midfielder, Claudio Marchisio.
Marchisio has been a key player for Juventus for many seasons now, and also played under Antonio Conte during his time in Italy.
He is seen as a possible back up for Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante, and the report claims Juve are not interested in selling the 31-year-old for anything less than £25 million.
