Chelsea U18 have continued their impressive form with a 1-0 win against Liverpool, just after defeating Manchester City youth team 5-1 to win the FA Youth Cup.

Chelsea U18 coach Jody Morris fielded a strong side, with seven players who featured in our FA Youth Cup final second-leg victory over Manchester City on Wednesday evening.

The young Blues took the lead as early as five minutes into the game, as Tariq Uwakwe took the ball forward and unleashed a powerful low drive from range, which went past Liverpool goalkeeper Kamil Grabara by a deflection off defender Conor Masterson.

The game ended that way as the Chelsea youngsters had to hold on strongly to their early lead.

The win means we keep our place at the top of the Under-18 Premier League table, ensuring if we win our two remaining fixtures, against Arsenal and Reading, we will be crowned champions regardless of other results.
