Chelsea’s pursuit of Kalidou koulibaly is well-documented. Chelsea were keen on signing the Senegal international during last summer’s transfer window, but Napoli held back from selling their star defender and turned down a reported bid of £50 million.
Koulibaly’s agent has come out to confirm that Chelsea came for him before signing David Luiz for a cheaper fee.
“Chelsea were interested in Koulibaly but then they signed David Luiz,” Koulibaly’s representative Bruno Satin explained to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“They also have John Terry and Gary Cahill.
“There is a lot of competition at Chelsea.
“So we will see what happens in the future.”
