Despite Chelsea holding a seven-point advantage over Tottenham at the top of the table, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists the title race isn’t over yet.
“This race is open. I think now I can see two teams, Chelsea and Tottenham, but anything can happen,” Conte said.
“There are 24 points to play for and other teams can enter the race.”
Our advantage over Tottenham could be reduced by the time we play on Saturday if Tottenham avoid defeat against Watford. Conte insists he isn’t concerned about Tottenham and has urged Chelsea to be concerned about ourselves alone on Saturday.
“No I don’t think it’s an advantage because if they win, lose or draw it’s the same, we have a good pressure,” Conte said when asked if playing later in the day was more beneficial.
“For us it’s very important to look at ourselves. Tottenham’s result is important but ours is the most important thing.”
