Ex-Chelsea and Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri was sacked this season after leading Leicester City to the title last season.
Ranieri was at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea defeated Manchester City 2-1 on Wednesday night. He also watched Chelsea train on Thursday.
During his pre-match press conference, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte laughed off suggestions that Ranieri could become his assistant by joking he could become Ranieri’s assistant.
“Claudio is a top manager and I think I could become his assistant,” Conte said.
“He is a top manager, coach and wish for him the best and hopefully he will find a new job.”
