During his time as Juventus and Italy manager, Leonardo Bonucci was a key player for Antonio Conte and the Italian tried to bring his countryman to Chelsea upon arriving the club last year, but to no avail.
If Conte is still interested in signing the 30-year-old Juventus defender, then this might just be the perfect time as the centre-back has recently stated his desire to play in the Premier League.
Ahead of Juve’s Champions League clash with Barcelona, Bonucci told So Foot: “It fascinates me. When I can, I watch English games, and not only for the quality of the players on display.
“I’m hot-headed, and I love the passion that exudes from their packed stands.
“It’s for that kind of thing that I’m the first on the training pitch and the last to return the changing room.”
