Chelsea beat Tottenham 4-2 in the semifinal of the FA Cup, and it wasn’t in any way an easy game for the Blues.
Chelsea started without Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, and Conte talked about his tactics after the game.
“You must take a strong decision and take the responsibility to take this decision. It’s not easy to decide to start the game without two important players. You must take this responsibility and involve the players in your plan and to operate with this decision is good.
“Our plan was this. I tried also to tell my player to stay in the game because if we pass more time it’s better for us.
“So I decided in the last 30 minutes to bring on Eden and Diego and then Cesc. Let’s not forget Cesc, he was very important for us.”
Hazard came on for Willian with 30 minutes and got a goal and assist as Chelsea ran out 4-2 winners.
