Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea U-18 team beat Manchester City 5-1 on Wednesday to win the FA Youth Cup.

After the team’s victory, Conte delivered a speech in the dressing room to youngsters.

“Congratulations on a really good game. I think you deserved to win the trophy,” said Conte.

“It’s always very important to win for us, this competition… the tradition.

“I’m pleased for you. I hope you continue this way, to continue to improve. Well done, good job.”

Chelsea U-18 coach Jody Morris revealed Conte has kept track of the team’s progress during the season.

“He [Conte] is a really good guy,” said Morris.

“He is not only someone who has done a bit in the game, he’s helping Chelsea at the minute.

“Through the season I’ve had text messages off him congratulating me and the boys.”
