Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is confident Chelsea can defeat Everton at Goodison Park later today if we play our football.
Everton have a good record at Goodison Park but Chelsea are the best away team in the Premier League and Courtois expects our winning mentality to help Chelsea secure a win at Goodison Park.
“I think you need to try to have the same mentality whether you play at home or away,” Courtois told Chelsea’s official website.
“A lot of times when you play away you go more defensive, and what we’ve been doing is defending well and coming out to play football in the same way as if we were at home.
“We haven’t settled for draws, there have been a lot of times when we really went for the win. Maybe when you do that you can lose but we’ve always tried to win games.
“Our away form is one of the reasons why we are top of the league right now.
“Everton are doing really well, they drew last weekend but they are really strong at Goodison Park and they’ve won their last eight home games.
“That’s a fantastic record so we have to respect that but still try to play our football. We played very well at home against them and hopefully we can produce a similar performance.
“We know it will be hard, Romelu Lukaku is in form and scoring a lot of goals. They have a lot of young players in their team, which is nice to see, but we want to go there and come out on top.”
