Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois sustained an ankle injury during a promotional basketball shoot, which made him miss the league game against Manchester United. The 24-year-old thought his season was over but is back now and has paid tribute to the medical staffs who helped him return to full fitness,
He said: “I was afraid that the season was over. Fortunately, it was less bad.
“I have to say thank you to Chelsea’s medical staff to get me fit. I do not think many people with a torn ligament already play after a week and a half.
“In another team in Chelsea there is someone who suffered the same injury on the same day and is still limping.
“That I can play now says something about Chelsea’s medical staff. I have to say thank you and maybe buy them a bottle of wine.”
