Ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has paid a glowing tribute to Chelsea captain John Terry after he announced he will leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
Ancelotti guided Chelsea to a league and FA Cup double in 2010 and hailed the impact of Terry during his time as Chelsea manager.
“John Terry is the captain of all team captains, he was born with the captain’s armband on his arm,” said Ancelotti.
“Even without the band, it’s as if he wears it anyway. He’s different from all the others, Chelsea is his home.
“One word from him, and the locker room holds its breath. He’s the first one to sit down at meals, the first one to stand up.”
