The PFA Player of the Year will go down to the wire between N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard. At a time, the pendulum swung in favour of Eden Hazard, and then many went for N’Golo Kante due to his consistency, bearing in mind that Hazard dropped form a bit. Hazard then picked back form in the last couple of games and has won back many admirers, including Arsenal legend Paul Merson.

In his column for the Mirror, Paul Merson revealed that Hazard is his choice for the Premier League’s best player award.

He wrote: “Personally I think Hazard should get the award. I always go for the best footballer in the best team, the player who makes things happen.

“He’s been the match-winner in the big games for Chelsea this season and he’s been different class. Kante would be a worthy winner.”

He then revealed why Kante is also worthy of the award.

“To win the title with two different clubs is some doing, and he’s been a massive part of both Leicester and now Chelsea.

“He’s everywhere on the pitch. I’ve never seen a player so fit, but he never ends up on the floor, giving fouls away. He’s always nicking it away, and you can’t get past him.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
