Diego Costa has one goal more (17) than Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the Premier League and Phil Babb has admitted that he would prefer having the Spain international in his squad over the legendary Swede.

The former Liverpool defender believes Costa still has age on his side compared to Ibrahimovic who’s 35, plus he admires the fighting spirit in the Chelsea striker.

“Because of age and that fire I’ve got to go for Costa,” Babb told Sky Sports.

“He’s going to give you a lot more.

“Ibra’s going to call it a day in 12 months or whatever but Costa is a bit of a leader.

“You want him up front when it’s a scruffy game, you know he’s going to put himself about.

“You don’t always get that from Zlatan.”
