When Chelsea boss Antonio Conte re-signed David Luiz, many questioned the wisdom of bringing Luiz back to Chelsea but the Brazilian defender has silenced his critics with his performances for Chelsea this season.

Luiz revealed he has had an outstanding season for Chelsea because he has been part of a functioning unit.

“When the collective is going well, the individual part is good for everybody,” David Luiz said.

“The praise is nice to hear but I understand why, it is because the teamwork is going very well. That is why, it is easy to see the individual part.”
