There aren’t that many names in football as hot as Romelu Lukaku at the moment. He is the most prolific striker in the Premier League, and arguably ahead of even ‘the best’ out there. Lukaku currently has 24 league goals to his name, 7 better than Costa, our leading scorer. Since his departure from Stamford Bridge three years ago, he has matured so well, and looks ready to play with the big boys again.
The Belgian used to be a Chelsea player, but couldn’t really live up to the club’s expectations, which prompted his sale to Everton. However, all that has changed, and he is a target for our dear Chelsea again.
The only problem with the move may be the hefty price tag on him put by Everton. Last season, he was valued at over £60 million, now that his goal returns have gone up, it is expected that fee will go up as well, but I don’t expect that to stop Chelsea signing him unless the coach has other key targets in mind. But I really do think Lukaku has grown and bettered himself over the last couple of years. He is not without his flaws, but is definitely ready to lead an attack like Chelsea’s.
I mean, if he can do it for Everton, he can do even more at Stamford Bridge with the likes of Hazard and Pedro there to supply him.
