Jose Mourinho believes it is difficult to win titles with young players, especially when they are still learning their trade.
The Portuguese sold a number of quality Chelsea youngsters during his time at the club – Ryan Bertrand, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne are three major names that went on to fulfill their potential elsewhere.
While speaking about youngsters, the current Manchester United manager claimed that Kurt Zouma and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have played fewer games compared to when he was in charge of Chelsea.
“And it is difficult for the best teams to win with the young boys’ learning curves. This is the reality of things.
“You look, for example, at my last season at Chelsea. Is Ruben Loftus-Cheek playing less than in my last season? Probably less. Is Kurt Zouma playing the same as last season? Definitely less.”
