Tottenham are seemingly putting pressure on Chelsea as they just can’t stop winning. Spurs have won eight league games in a row and are the only threat to Chelsea’s title ambition, with only four points separating both sides.
However, Conte has said that he’s enjoying the competition with Mauricio Pochettino’s men and doesn’t see it as pressure.
“I think in this league two teams are having a great season,” Conte told the press in his pre-match press conference. “Chelsea are having a great season, also Tottenham. Two good teams that are showing they deserve to fight for the title to the end.
“For sure you must enjoy this type of situation, because after a lot of work it is important to end with something to fight for something important. For us it is a great achievement to fight for the league and the FA Cup, but we must praise Tottenham because they are playing very well and having a great season in the same way like Chelsea.”
The Chelsea boss then admitted it would be a great achievement to do the league and FA Cup double. He said: “With this I had a problem in Italy, it is the first season in England, different country, language and habit to bring my philosophy, to bring my idea of football, it is not easy but for others coaches in the their first season. To fight for the title and reach the final of the FA Cup is a great achievement. I hope always to be able to have this situation and try to win with the players, with the club and fans together.”
