Chelsea lost a tactical battle against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. The Blues lost 2-0 and it was a very poor display from the team.

See how the players fared:

Begovic: The Bosnian has to take a part of the blame for the first goal; he came out too early. Didn’t do much to oust first choice keeper Thibaut Courtois. 4.5/10

Zouma: The Chelsea backline didn’t have a good game against Marcus Rashford and the defence wasn’t worthy of praise. Zouma and co weren’t solid. Played the second-half of the game as a right-back. 4/10

Luiz: Probably his worst game since the defeat against Arsenal. Didn’t have a good game at all and was shaky in the middle of the back three. 4/10

Cahill: Didn’t lead his backline well and wasn’t solid himself. Not a good game from the captain. 4/10

Matic: A poor game by Matic’s standard especially in the first-half as United bossed the midfield. 4/10

Kante: Probably the best Chelsea player today; worked hard for the team but was against a more hardworking Manchester United side. 5/10

Moses: Looked a bit jaded and didn’t have a good game that we’ve known him for. 4/10

Azpilicueta: Started out as a left wing-back and switched to the right, but it wasn’t really his day. 4.5/10

Pedro: Worked hard for the team, but there was no cohesion among the front three. 4.5/10

Hazard: Was marked out of the game by Herrera, and was fouled severally; very frustrating evening for the Belgian. 4.5/10

Costa: Very poor game from Costa. 4/10

Subs

Fabregas: Came on for Victor Moses nine minutes into the second-half. Tried to dictate the tempo of the game with his passing, but it wasn’t really effective. 4.5/10

Willian: Replaced Matic in the 66th minute; was a willing runner but nothing productive in the final third. 4.5/10

Loftus-Cheek: Came on for Zouma with seven minutes left.

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
