What a few weeks it’s been for both Chelsea and Spurs. For Chelsea, the cold shivers of reduced points advantage and question marks all over the form and fitness levels of the team are coming at a wrong time for the club. For Spurs, their swashbuckling form and renewed hopes of silverware chances owing to Chelsea’s slip-ups and possible shortcomings is good music. However, at the end of the FA Cup game on Saturday, the winner would have delivered a huge psychological blow to the loser. So huge is the encounter that neither club is taking anything for granted.

Here are 3 reasons Chelsea need to take their chance:

KILLING THE SPURS DREAMS:

If Chelsea beat Spurs today, it would be the perfect way to silence their ‘noisy Northern London rival’. More so, it would kill Spurs dream of winning silverware this season and give a huge psychological advantage to us in the title race.

BRAGGING RIGHTS:

Mauricio Pochettino’s assertion that Spurs are London’s most popular team is sweet-talk antics aimed at deriding other London rivals. It’s like the words of a man flattering his lover with head-spinning words. In actual sense, Spurs are a good side, but not successful like Chelsea or Arsenal in terms of winning trophies. They might be the best ball-playing side in the league, but not yet to the level of Chelsea. Just to give them a reminder of their level and that Chelsea is the best London team (the pride of London) in England, then we need to beat Spurs to loudly proclaim our capital dominance.

BECOME MORE SUCCESSFUL:

One of the reasons Spurs hate Chelsea is because of our successes over the years which has steamed up our fierce rivalry with them. They hate to see Chelsea being successful, and vice versa. So a win over Spurs sees us advance to the FA Cup Final which will be demoralising for Spurs, but will also give us another chance to win silverware to add the collection we have in the trophy cabinet at Stamford bridge.

Let’s fight on! Let’s live and support the true blues. Cheers!
