Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wanted to sign Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata last summer but Real Madrid refused to let the 24-year-old striker leave.

According to Daily Express, Morata will arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer with reports claiming the striker has a verbal agreement to join Chelsea in the summer.

Morata has struggled for playing time since moving to Real Madrid last summer and the striker is eager to leave this summer as he seeks more first-team football.

The report by Daily Express claims Morata has become hugely frustrated with being overlooked repeatedly by Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane in favour of Karim Benzema.

With reports claiming Everton want £100 million for Romelu Lukaku, Conte is more likely going to bid for Morata who is reportedly worth around £50 million.

We should sign both Lukaku and Morata to bolster our striking force.
