In the reverse fixture between Chelsea and Manchester City, Sergio Aguero and team-mate Fernandinho were sent off towards the end of City’s 3-1 defeat to Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium in December as the game finished on an ill-tempered note.

However, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has said there will be no red card this time around.

“We can talk about Sergio and many things,” said Guardiola.

“But we are not to going to talk about Sergio or say he is a dangerous player, please. What happened in that game happened many many things.

“We were 1-0 up, created unbelievable chances to go 2-0 or 3-0 up, and after the reaction what happened with Sergio and Fernandinho is our frustration, because Fernandinho is not one of those guys.

“He is aggressive, but also one of the sweetest and nicest guys I have ever met. Sergio and Fernandinho are nice guys.
