Chelsea striker Diego Costa has failed to score for Chelsea in his last four appearances as his wait for his 50th Premier League goal continues.
Despite not scoring for Chelsea yesterday, Costa’s poorly struck shot cannoned off Bournemouth defender Adam Smith and found its way into the back of the net.
Ex-Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle wasn’t impressed with Costa’s performance against Bournemouth on Saturday and he revealed Costa would have failed a trial if he’d played how he did for Chelsea against Bournemouth.
“It was a strange game for him,” Hoddle told BT Sport.
“How that’s ended up in the back of the net?
“He has got that in his locker, I’ve seen him play a bit like this, it seemed like his timing was off in everything he wanted to do.
“If it was a trial and he’d come for a game you’d ask ‘who brought him for a game? Get him off!’”
Was Hoddle’s assessment of Costa’s performance harsh or do you think he was right about Costa?
