Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez wants to stay at Arsenal beyond this summer despite links with a move to Chelsea in the summer.
Sanchez is yet to sign a new Arsenal contract and has 14 months left in his current Arsenal contract.
Sanchez currently earns around £130,000-a-week and according to reports, he is demanding a pay rise of £250,000-a-week, an amount Arsenal isn’t willing to offer him.
Chelsea, PSG and Juventus are reportedly all interested in the Chilean forward and Chelsea are reportedly willing to meet the wage demands of Sanchez.
Arsenal will reportedly demand at least £50 million for Sanchez if the player is intent on leaving Arsenal in the summer but Wenger is confident the player will remain at Arsenal.
“I believe that he basically wants to stay at the club, and it’s down to finding an agreement with his agent,” Wenger said.
“The players have to first see whether they are happy at the club.
“Most of the time it’s down to finding an agreement and the finances are involved in it, yes.”
