Chelsea energetic midfielder N’Golo Kante is favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award despite the presence of five attacking players in the shortlist including Chelsea magician Eden Hazard.
If Kante wins the award, he will be the first holding midfield player to do since Roy Keane in 2000.
Ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is glad Kante’s contribution is being recognized.
“I think a player like him would do good everywhere,” Ibrahimovic said.
“In Kante’s case, he gets a lot of credit for what he is doing.
“Normally players like that who run a lot don’t get the credit they deserve.
“I remember (Blaise) Matuidi at PSG. Players like them are more important than people think they are.”
