Summer signing Michy Batshuayi, scored the goal that sealed the Premier League title for Chelsea on Friday last week, and the Belgian has admitted that he has put his mark in history.

He said: “I’m really happy that I’ve put my mark into history. I kept on working, even when I had a day off. And like they say: Hard work pays off.

“That’s the Belgian mentality, isn’t it? We like to work hard. I’m feeling good when I’m pushing my body. As I knew I was getting my chance, I wanted to pull all the luck on my side. I’m very happy that I scored another goal.

“You always have to continue working even when you’re having hard times. Also in very difficult moments like I’ve had this season. I’ve always kept my head high, stayed cool and kept on working. Today, I’m benefiting from those efforts.

“Friday was a magical moment. Like in a dream.

“I kept on working, because I knew that were some important games to come. I knew I could get my chance against Watford. I wanted to make the fans and the manager proud of me. I didn’t give up and today the team and I have been rewarded. That’s good for everybody.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
