21-year-old Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore spent the season on loan at Ajax, helping the Dutch club reach the finals of the Europa League.

The Burkina Faso international scored 14 goals in 43 appearances for Ajax and he is hopeful he has done enough to be part of Chelsea’s first team squad next season.

“I will go with the national team and after that take some rest. Then I will go back to Chelsea and have a talk – we will see,” Traore said as quoted on Evening Standard.

When asked whether he was aiming to be at Chelsea next season, Traore said: “That’s my hope.

“That was the key when I came to Ajax – play as many [games] as I could, do well, and try to go back to Chelsea.

“I think I had a great season but I don’t decide to stay at Chelsea or move. I will see what my future will be.

“Not yet,” Traore added when asked if he has had talks with Conte.
