Finally, we come to the last game of the season having enjoyed almost a year of league football action. We’ve witnessed highs like Chelsea’s wins over the Manchester clubs and Spurs before Christmas. The low point of our season being our fatal defeats against rivals Liverpool and Arsenal which ultimately shaped our  season end route winning the league title. As we sober-reflect on the moments that defined the season of each club, let’s point our 3 positives from Chelsea’s season:

In what other can a foreign manager announce himself in a new league than adopt his ideas that have propelled him to success like Conte did. This season was a rendezvous of the best mangers in the world in English football. The tailor-manager did an extraordinary job of settling the impalpable discord that destroyed team chemistry last season. The transfer of his passion, energy and enthusiasm unto his players were the driving force for the success the club has achieved. His effective 3-4-3 formation gave Chelsea the identity owner, Roman Abramovich has always craved for. Conte’s Chelsea strategy and system is now the blueprint almost every team loved to adopt. Conte was the game changer!.

Chelsea have the reigning Football Writers Player of the Year and Footballer of the Year in their ranks. Antonio Conte became the first manager to win 3 consecutive manager of the month awards. The likes of Costa and Hazard were voted player of the month and also got nominated and won goal of the month awards alongside Pedro. Our league triumph is our second in 3 years and our fifth in 12 seasons. If we win our last game against Sunderland, we will be the first Champions with the most wins in the Premier league era. Our points total is the best in the last decade. Swashbuckling achievements by all standards by Conte and Chelsea.

With most of the players having struggled for form and fitness, it was no surprise to see Chelsea struggle last season. But it’s been all different this season as the players put away the debris of last season to win the league title. Even those who were questionable buys performed at peak level to silence their critics.

Let’s celebrate the Champions of England – CHELSEA FC. CHEERS!
