Chelsea ladies’ final game at Wheatsheaf Park saw the Blues defeat league leaders Liverpool 7-0.
Gilly Flaherty gave the Blues the perfect start with a glanced header after only two minutes after a corner-kick was whipped in by Carney. Strikes from Fran Kirby and Ji So-Yun gave the Blues a 3-0 lead at half-time.
Chelsea ladies continued to dominate after the break as Maren Mjelde, Karen Carney, Erin Cuthbert and Drew Spence all found the back of the net to ensure the perfect ending of our five-year stay at Wheatsheaf Park ahead of our move to Kingsmeadow next season.
It could have been 8-0 late in the game but Bright’s thumping header cannoned back off the crossbar.
