West Ham shocked many as they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at the London Stadium on Friday night, to keep the gap to four points at the top of the Premier League table, with Spurs having played an extra game and Chelsea due to play on Monday night.
The Premier League title race was meant to go down the wire but Manuel Lanzini’s solo strike means that Chelsea need just six points to wrap up the title.
So a win against Middlesbrough on Monday and then another at West Brom a week from today would seal the championship for Antonio Conte’s men.
We needed three wins to win the league prior to yesterday’s game, as Tottenham went on a nine game winning streak. But after yesterday’s result, all Chelsea need are just two victories to wrap up the league.
