28-year-old Chelsea striker Diego Costa was heavily linked with a move to the Chinese Super League in January but Chelsea reportedly rejected any advances for our striker.

However, various reports still claim Costa will leave for China this summer.

Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian insist they have not held talks with Chelsea over the sale of Diego Costa for the past six months.

“For the past six months, our club have not been involved in any form of communication and negotiation with Diego Costa, or his representatives,” Tianjin said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Our club will draw up a rational transfer plan as an aim to improve the spectator experience of the Chinese Super League and meet its sustainability demands.

“We won’t take part in any unhealthy competition, thus preventing all overpriced signings.”
