Nathan Ake has only played one Premier League game this season, the 3-0 win against Everton. The 22-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan with Bournemouth but was recalled from the Cherries in January.
Ake has to play five league games to be eligible for a Premier League medal, meaning he had to play the remaining four remaining games of the season for the Blues. It wasn’t to be, as the Dutchman didn’t start the game and Conte opted to bring in Willian, Nathaniel Chalobah and John Terry in the second-half.
With three league games left for the Blues, Ake wouldn’t be eligible for a medal even if he plays all three remaining games.
But one thing is for sure, the future is bright for Ake, and he has left an impression on the Chelsea boss.
