Just last week, Chelsea legend Ricardo Carvalho, implied that Antonio Conte’s title-winning team was built by Jose Mourinho, who won the league with the Blues two seasons ago.
“Conte has merit too because he changed the team’s strategy a bit,” the former Chelsea defender told Omnisport.
“But most of the players who were champions with Mourinho were there.”
Conte has flawed Carvalho’s assessment of his title-winning team.
“When I read that Chelsea had a lot of experience… half the squad won in the past, the other half started to win,” said the Italian
“It’s very important, when you win you start to learn the right way to do.
“It’s very important to Marcos [Alonso], for [Victor] Moses, for Michy [Batshuayi] but for many guys who stayed with us in the squad to win the league, to accumulate experience for the future.”
