Antonio Conte has done marvelously in his first season in the Premier League, and he’s set to win the league with Chelsea.
Blues legend Graeme Le Saux has hailed Conte’s work ethics and admits this has been the catalyst for a successful Chelsea team under Antonio Conte, and he has tipped the Italian to have a Premier League medal at the end of the season.
“Antonio Conte has made such an impact in his first season in England with Chelsea,” Le Saux told Betfair.
“If he goes on to win the Premier League with the Blues this season, and I think he will, he’ll have done it by doing something that I think is really important – setting high standards on a day-to-day basis and living those standards to set an example to a group of players.”
Le Saux also hailed the fitness and focus the Chelsea players have shown this season.
“A great illustration of this is how fit and focused his teams look,” Le Saux added.
“They run all day, they don’t make mistakes and they have an incredible work rate and dedication.
“Conte has apparently been so focused on the job in hand since coming here, he’s hardly seen any of London yet, which is a measure of his dedication.
“I imagine he’ll have plenty of time to enjoy it this summer, and it’s more than likely he’ll have a Premier League winners’ medal around his neck, too.”
