For the second time in three years, Chelsea are Premier League champions, and deservedly so.
A lot of people have been asked if this season’s Premier League title feels better than last season’s title under former boss Jose Mourinho, and Chelsea star Eden Hazard believes this season’s title edges that of two seasons ago.
Speaking after the game, Hazard said: “It was a good afternoon and a good season for all of us. It’s always good to win. We have another trophy to try to take next week, so we can celebrate with the fans but we have to be ready for the final, and if we win that it will have been a fantastic season.
“Maybe it’s better (than when we won the title in 2014/15) because last season we didn’t play well and we proved to all of the fans that we are Chelsea, we have good players and we are champions.”
Personally, I believe this season’s title feels better, after last season’s woes and with so many people putting Chelsea down, it just feels good to prove your doubters wrong. Also, the records attached to this season makes it all the more adorable; from the record of 13 consecutive wins in a single season to the record of 30 wins in a single season – these are impressive stats.
