Chelsea captain John Terry has made it official that this would be his last season at the club, and he’d still want to continue his playing career.

The Chelsea skipper lost his shirt after Antonio Conte switched to a 3-4-3 system, and he hasn’t started a Premier League game since then.

Bournemouth and a host of clubs have shown interest in the 36-year-old, but Sky Sports pundit and Paul Merson has warned Terry to avoid a move to the Cherries.

Merson told Sky Sports: “I’m not sure about the John Terry one because John hasn’t played for a long time.

“He’s getting on a bit, I mean I’m one of his greatest fans, but you don’t half get isolated playing centre-half for Bournemouth.

“It’s not like you’re going to get a lot of protection. That one doesn’t tick the boxes.”
