Two things have happened to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, for the first time in his career. This is the first time as a coach that Guardiola has failed to win a trophy – and this is also the first time that his side will finish outside of the top two.

The successful Spaniard has never had it bad, as he has received his worst spell as a manager, in his debut season in the Premier League.

The City manager has warned Chelsea that next season will be different, as his team will fight for the title.

He said: “We were not in the title race to the end. Normally the big teams always fight until the end, and after that you can win or lose.

“In the Premier League, we didn’t fight until the end because two teams were better than us and we dropped a lot of points at home. We must improve on that next season.

“Depending on what happens tomorrow, we are going to finish 15 or so points behind the first-placed team. The gap to the leaders is big. We have to have to work harder next season to reduce that gap.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
