Chelsea deservedly won the title in 2014/15 season under Jose Mourinho, as the Blues were top of the table from August till the end of the season.
The second season was a catastrophe for the Blues, as Chelsea were so terrible in their title defence. The Blues flirted with relegation, which led to the sack of Jose Mourinho, and Chelsea eventually ended up in 10th position, as Guus Hiddink took over on interim basis.
Eden Hazard has revealed that a lack of fitness and motivation were two key reasons Chelsea slumped in that season.
He told BBC Sport: “The missing ingredient last season? That’s football you know.
“Sometimes you are on top.
“Two years ago we also won the league.
“Last season was difficult for some reasons, sometimes motivation is not [at the] top, fitness is not on top – a lot of things.
“We started the season well and won the league.
“Next season we will be in trouble if we don’t work hard as we did this season so we have to be ready every year in the same level to be on top.”
