When it comes to passing abilities and awareness, there are few in the game who can compete with Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Spaniard turned 30 today, and former Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins couldn’t help but admit that he’s one of his favourite players.
He told Premier League Daily: “I just love it whether he comes on or whether he starts. For me, he’s one of my favourites down there because he’s just a pure footballer.
“I’d be breaking my neck to get him to stay, to be perfectly honest. This guy can open up defences, not only with short passes.
“He has a fantastic range of passing all over the pitch and he’s a valuable member of the squad.”
The 30-year-old still has two years left on his Chelsea contract, and majority of the Blue fans want him to remain at the club.
