Kick Off: Friday, 12 May, 2017. 19:00 GMT

Venue: The Hawthorns

It’s 8th position vs 1st position on the table, and while the fixture might not mean much for West Bromwich Albion, it’s a significant one for the Blues, as a win will certainly be enough for Chelsea to become champions.

39 points separate Chelsea and West Brom, which shows the golf in class between the two sides.

West Brom have been in terrible form for the past three months, and it’s been almost two months since they got a win in the Premier League. Their last win came on the 18th of March, a 3-1 win over Arsenal. That has been their only win in nine attempts. 6 losses, 2 draws and 1 win.

While West Brom have been in terrible form, for Chelsea, it has been from one positive result to another. Chelsea have won their last four games in all competitions, and in the last nine games in all competitions for the Blues, it’s been 7 wins and 2 draws. However, in the last six league games for Chelsea, Antonio Conte’s men have won five and lost just once.

Chelsea won the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge 1-0 back in December, with a superb goal from Diego Costa.

However, Chelsea’s only defeat in the last eight Premier League meetings came at The Hawthorns in May 2015, a 3-0 loss after they had already won the title.

The Blues are vying to complete the double over West Brom for the first time in six seasons.

My Prediction: West Brom have been in terrible form both at home and away from home. Their defence have been very porous and the Baggies have found it difficult to score. I fact, they ended a club record run of five league games without a goal by drawing 2-2 at Burnley last weekend.

Chelsea to win and keep a clean sheet. West  Brom 0 vs 3 Chelsea
