Pedro Rodriguez signed for Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2015, and while he would win the Premier League title in just his second season at the club, it didn’t really start out well for the Spaniard.

Pedro scored on his debut and was even the man of the match, in a 3-2 win against West Brom. But it was downhill from him since then until this season where he has been magnificent for Chelsea.

Conte remembered his debut performance and how he struggled last season.

“I have good memories of that game,” Pedro tells the official Chelsea website. “I remember I scored my first goal in England, and it was my debut, so that was nice. Tonight we have the possibility to win the title at the same stadium and I hope I can contribute to a win for the team and make some more special memories.

“Last season was very difficult for everybody, the team, the club and the supporters, but this year has been very different. Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and it’s normal for us to be fighting for trophies.”

The Spaniard is happy about winning the title as a win tonight will secure the Premier League for Chelsea, and he also revealed that it’s the reason he came to Chelsea – to win titles.

He said: “It’s in our hands to make it a great season, that’s the right mentality to have and there is a fantastic spirit in this team. We have the possibility to win two trophies, tonight is the first game and if we win that then we have to beat Arsenal to win the FA Cup. That was my aim when I came to Chelsea so I’m really pleased.”
