Chelsea defeated Middlesbrough 3-0 at Stamford Bridge tonight to increase the gap at the top of the table to seven points. All Chelsea now need is a win to become league champions.

Antonio Conte’s men were dominant against Boro and the lead could easily have been by five goals.

See how the players fared:

Courtois: Very easy game for the Chelsea goalkeeper. Only had one save to make all game and it was a very weak shot. 7/10

Azpilicueta: Very rugged and dominant effort from the Spaniard. He assisted Alonso for the second goal and was well involved in the team’s build up play, even though he played as a centre-back. 8/10

Luiz: Handled the threat of Negredo easily, and his passes from deep is worthy of praise. 7.5/10

Cahill: Formed a good partnership with Luiz and Azpilicueta, as the back three marshalled the defence really well and limited Boro to no serious attempt at the Chelsea goal. He went forward and almost got a goal, but for the woodwork. 7.5/10

Moses: Impressive game from the 26-year-old. He was very threatening on the right flank and pulled two saves from Guzan. Had a very good game. 8/10

Alonso: One of the best players on the pitch today and was a threat from the blast of the whistle. Hit the woodwork early in the game after Guzan saved his effort at goal. He later went behind Boro’s defence to score a goal in the first-half and made life very difficult for Adama Traore and Fabio. 9/10

Matic: Calm and composed in the Chelsea midfield; had a beautiful understanding with Cesc Fabregas and scored a brilliant goal in the 65th minute. 8.5/10

Fabregas: The playmaker was excellent today. The whole game revolved around him, and besides getting a brace, he constantly set up opportunities at will for his forward players, and Diego Costa indeed enjoyed his partnership. Made it look so easy. 9.5/10

Pedro: He hit the woodwork and got a couple of chances to have scored. Not his lucky day in front of goal, but he had a very good performance. 8/10

Hazard: His pace and trickery worried the Boro defenders and he was more interested in setting up his teammates than getting on the scoresheet today. 8/10

Costa: Was a constant threat to the Boro defence, and opened the scoring for his team to score his 20th goal for Chelsea. 8.5/10

Willian: Replaced Hazard with about 19 minutes left and flowed with the game.

Chalobah: Replaced Pedro and sat in the heart of midfield, trying to dictate the tempo with his passing.

Terry: The fans still love him and will always do. Came on for Luiz late in the game and got a rousing ovation from the fans with the Chelsea fans chanting that they’ve won the league for him.
