Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel is currently on loan with PSV, and also spent last season on loan with the Dutch giants.

PSV Eindhoven’s sporting director has revealed his club will attempt to sign the 24-year-old Chelsea midfielder on a permanent basis in the summer.

Van Ginkel has scored 15 goals in 24 appearances in the Dutch top flight over the course of two campaigns, and PSV sporting director Marcel Brand has confirmed the club’s interest in the Chelsea midfielder.

“We are keen to keep Marco at the club,” Brands told De Telegraaf.

“Both a loan deal or a permanent move could be an option.

“We tried to bring him in on an 18-month loan deal in January, but Chelsea told us they wanted to re-evaluate his situation during the summer.”
