Cesc Fabregas showed why he’s the midfield maestro and the assist king as he produced a man-of-the-match performance against Middlesbrough to help Chelsea win the game 3-0.

The Spaniard dictated the tempo of the game with his passing and assisted the goals scored by Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic.

The assists mean Fabregas has now created 11 goals this season despite having only started 11 league games this season.

Conte had nothing but kind words to say about the man who started in place of N’Golo Kante.

The Chelsea manager said: “I think Cesc is one of the best examples of our season. In this season Cesc at the start didn’t play a lot. Then through the hard work he improved a lot, he is playing in every game. I think this development of Cesc is ours of Cesc, because through the work and work we found the right way. Now I think he is showing to be a fantastic player. I am pleased for him, I have seen him put himself right in every way. He deserves this.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
