Middlesbrough have been relegated to the Championship after a terrible season in the topflight.

Chelsea defeated Boro 3-0 to send them back to England’s second tier league, and Boro manager Steve Agnew couldn’t hide his disappointment after the game.

He said after the game: “The disappointment is losing the game, the first half our defending for the goals were disappointing.

Speaking about being relegated, Agnew said: “Everyone is devastated, we have worked so hard but we have pulled up short, it’s a very silent dressing room.”
