Marcos Alonso signed for Chelsea from Fiorentina during the summer, and the 26-year-old was a pivotal figure as Chelsea went on to win the league – his first ever Premier League title.
“It’s my first big trophy, very special,” he said. “Also, to get 30 wins is a new record as well. We’ve been working hard all year, the manager has done a great job and he’s had every player focused on our objective, which was the title. I’m very happy for him.”
For Victor Moses, he went from being a Jose Mourinho reject to being a key Chelsea player under Antonio Conte. He made the right wing-back position his own, and none could play the role any better.
It was also his first ever Premier League title, and he said after the game: “We’ve got a good manager here who is willing to give everybody an opportunity. He gave me that opportunity and I haven’t looked back. It’s all about hard work, I’ve never worked so hard in my career and I just want to keep on improving in the position I’m playing.
“He’s taken our game to the next level, he pushes us to our limit. Each and every one of us totally respects him. We love him as our manager. He has great passion and he’s played the game before.
“It’s good to have a manager who believes in every player. He’s given us all massive confidence and we’re enjoying our football.”
