Antonio Conte has been sensational this season for Chelsea. It’s not just about winning the league, but the manner in which he did.
The 47-year-old managed the players pretty well and there have been no stories of dressing room unrest, his press conferences were very mature and civil, no fines or bans and all the troubles of the previous era were swept away with his passionate style of coaching which the fans bought from Day One.
Inter Milan have been consistently linked with a move for the Chelsea boss, and according to a report by Daily Star, Inter have given up on trying to prise him away from the Premier League champions, with Luciano Spalletti now expected to take over at the San Siro.
Conte never gave Inter any encouragement he fancied the job, and is now set to sign a bumper new deal which will significantly increase his £6.5m-a-year salary.
Surely, every real Chelsea fan can’t wait for the announcement of a new Conte contract.
